Dear Chi,

Being the biggest narcissist on the planet has let me love you like no man ever could. We are growing wiser like oak, ageing fine like cheese.

  1. Mental health:

Your joy has fought fiercely and beaten your anxiety. Rooting for "joy"- one of my best decisions.

You have grown out of your intellectual insecurities. All glitches were removed from your server, your mind is as sharp and fast as the newest iPhone. For the past three years, you have read a wealth of books and magazines to sharpen your critical thinking. Besides, training your mind to frequently ask op-ed questions, and mediating helped.

You have turned to be more attentive to the present. You can tell the emotions of everyone in the room and make them feel heard. Please thank me for forcing you out of your thoughts and focusing your energy on the present. Then, when talking to someone, you pick up people's emotions and imagine their background stories. It was hard at first but now you reap the results.

2. Physical state:

Pull off the swan and the "banana" poses, and finish a one-hour session of Pamela Rief's exercise without losing a beat. You look healthy and fine, and your ass is "damn". Your skin is glowy and brighter.

Thankfully, for the past three years, you have slept before 12, and not a week passed without at least 4 days of 30-minute exercise. Your slow-eating habit comes back and you have managed to refrain from eating much greasy and sugary food.

3. Relationship:

Congratulations! You are now having a "HEALTHY" relationship with the man of your life. You have turned the corner, from the insecure, unoriginal underachiever in the love market, to a precious piece of sapphire that your lover prays to have.

How?

  1. Identify what I need in a life partner and what we could achieve together

  2. Don't settle for less

  3. Work hard for who you want to become

  4. Be patient. The right man does not reveal himself immediately

What about professional relationships? You have good relationships with writers, marketers, thinkers and businessmen. Though the network is small, you have successfully added depth to the relationship. Your coworkers value you for your dedication and working with you gives them peace of mind. You appreciate your colleagues' fresh perspectives: catching up with them feels good. They introduce new jobs to you, and you present them with new opportunities.

Three years ago, as many introverts out there, you were uninclined to networking. However, you talked yourself out of it and took the first steps. It started with defining your network circle, making friends, following their work and designating time weekly to catch up and nurture your relationship.

4. Career:

Currently, you are the content marketing leader of a tech product company. Young as your company is, you know it will succeed. Because the product is good and sustainable, and the company truly cares about innovation and improving people's lives instead of scamming for money and short-term profit.

Your work is intense yet rewarding. The best thing is, it does not eat up your evening. You have time after work to study SEO and data analytics, brush up your writing, and advance your expertise. You are prepping yourself for the "product marketing manager" position.

Meanwhile, you are writing high-value business content as a side gig. Although you only produce one or two pieces every week, your content strikes a great resonance with your leaders, and your clients are extremely pleased.

Your sustainable living, green tech, and self-development blog and social channels are growing substantially. Your Instagram is full of lively drawings that make complex matters accessible. You are gaining new gigs and meaningful connections through the channels.

Such a major career shift was triggered when you decided to quit sales and focus on your strengths. You drew your future vision and cut everything stepping in the way, which gave you precious time to refine your skills.

You spent your weekends writing and enriching your vocab libraries. Reading became your daily habit. Once you'd gained confidence in writing and critical thinking, you began to take freelance work. Firstly, small gigs that hardly paid the bill, then gradually, you've got a more substantially compensated job. You identified your target community and earned those jobs through references.

While AI threatened the bread and butter of content writers, you have learned to use it to your advantage. ChatGPT is now a reliable assistant boosting your productivity tremendously.

5. Finance:

Having established multiple sources of income, you are financially stable. Though not affluent, you earn handsome enough to support your life and your family. You have a good investment portfolio yielding profit. While this does not grant you financial freedom, you are highly convinced it will contribute considerably to your post-retirement financial health.

6. Lifestyle:

Your life is overall healthy:

  • A closet full of clothes you have carefully picked throughout the year. It reflects your characteristics.

  • Coffee hangout, music longe, yoga community

  • Lifelong relationship with people you care about

  • Cook for my family every weekend

  • Nutritious diet

  • Travel once or twice per year

  • Learning everyday

  • Singing and drawing

I hope you are happy. All shades of joy you are experiencing at the moment are because you chose to act differently three years ago and stay consistent.
